Italy v. EU 1-0

Italy has won its first battle against the European Human Rights Court. The Italian highest court has decided that the EHRC ruling to remove crucifixes from all public school classrooms was a violation of Italian sovereignty. Also, the Italian Senate passed a bill requiring crucifixes to be exposed in all schools in recognition of the "value of religious culture of the historical heritage" of the country.
